Mystery countdown appears on Lionhead site

A countdown timer has appeared on the website of Peter Molyneux’s development studio Lionhead that will conclude on Monday, the day this year’s GDC kicks off in San Francisco.

The news comes as a job ad on the Lionhead site was spotted that alluded to next-gen development at the studio.

At the time of writing UK journalists are currently on a place to San Francisco to see a behind-closed-doors Microsoft event which will showcase a number of projects, including Halo 4.

Of course, Lionhead could just be prepping some more information on Kinect-focused title Fable Journey. But signs point towards a surprise new reveal.

The big question, of course, is whether it will tie-in with the ongoing next-gen work happening at Microsoft right now.

Expect all to be revealed on Monday.
