New Batman Arkham game to release this year

A new Batman Arkham game is scheduled for release in 2013, Warner Bros has revealed.

During an earnings call where Time Warner announced its financial results, company CFO John K Martin announced, And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012.”

Meanwhile, VG247 has quoted sources as saying that the new Arkham will not be helmed by Arkham Asylum and Arkham City developer Rocksteady Games.

Rocksteady is rumoured to be working on a prequel to 2009’s Arkham Asylum, which will be set in the Silver Age of comics.

Neither game has yet been officially announced by Warner.
