New Ghost Recon Wildlands trailer shows heads exploding while cat chases red dot

Ubisoft obviously knows what to do to win the internet and put it into practice in its new trailer for the upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands. It features a cute cat chasing a red dot, which is everything we could hope for in a trailer for an open world drug cartel game really.

It’s also an entirely new way to market the game. Until now, Ubisoft has primarily focused on the game’s military angle. This different approach might help the publisher to bring new players to a franchise that’s not been especially known for its quirky elements. It’s also pretty similar to what Ubisoft did to market Watch Dogs 2, which adopted a more upbeat tone compared to the first entry in the franchise.

Ghost Recon Wildlands will hit shelves on March 7th, after being in development since 2012 and revealed extensively at last year’s E3. Here’s everything you need to know about Ubisoft’s upcoming title and don’t forget to watch the new ‘Red Dot’ trailer below:
