NINTENDO: New Super Mario Bros announced

Nintendo has announced a new version of Super Mario Bros for Wii at its conference at E3 today.

The game offers a single player mode or co-op for up to four players, and is available for attendees to play at E3.

New items in the game include a new propeller suit. It is being planned for a ‘Holiday (Xmas) 2009’ release.

"We haven’t worked out how to move Mario into the fourth dimension," said Nintendo’s marketing boss Cammie Dunaway.

"But that number, four, is the key. Miyamoto had been thinking about a new way to play Mario for 15 years. His answer is New Super Mario Brothers for Wii."
