Nintendo confirms Super Mario Galaxy 2

Nintendo has confirmed a successor to Mario Galaxy for the Wii.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the first time “two 3D Mario games have arrived in one generation,” according to Cammie Dunaway.

Though a new Mario game, footage of the title showed it to be very similar to the original Mario Galaxy.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 was given no release date, and attendees at E3 were not promised a chance to demo the game.
