Nintendo on the hunt for ‘Britain’s Best Gamer’

To celebrate the impending launch of New Super Mario Bros, Nintendo is set to run a nationwide tournament to find the country’s best Nintendo gamer.

The event is set to take place at four GAME and four Gamestation stores on Saturday October 17th and Sunday October 18th and gamers must compete on four games: Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart DS, Wii Fit and New Super Mario Bros. DS.

The top two finalists from each venue will then go forward to the grand final, where they can battle it out to win ‘Britain’s Best Nintendo Gamer’ title.

The final will be hosted by Iain Lee, and the winner will win a trip for five to Nintendo’s HQ in Japan.

The event is set to take place at the following venues:

Bluewater, GAME store
Swansea, Boarders concession
Manchester, Trafford Centre, Selfridges concession
Oxford Street GAME store
Birmingham New Street, Gamestation
Hull, Gamestation
Edinburgh Princess Street, Gamestation
Norwich, Gamestation
