Wii U owners who choose to buy Bayonetta 2 digitally will not receive the complimentary copy of the first game.
Nintendo revealed yesterday as part of its E3 video presentation that the game – which is due out in October – will include a copy of the 2010 original, which until now has only been available on PS3 and Xbox 360.
However, a footer on the game’s official website states: The retail version of Bayonetta 2 comes with the first Bayonetta game. Digital downloads of Bayonetta 2 from Nintendo eShop do not include the first game.”
No reason is given, although perhaps the 32GB internal storage limit on the Premium Wii U hardware may be to blame.
