Origin is selling Valve games

Many of EA’s titles may remain unavailable on Valve’s Steam network. But right now US gamers can buy three different Valve titles on EA’s Origin download service.

There is one caveat, though. They’re boxed versions.

Rock Paper Shotgun reports that as part of a ‘buy two get one free’ offer on Origin in the US, three Valve games are currently up for offer – Left 4 Dead Game of the Year Edition, Left 4 Dead 2 and Counterstrike: Source.

Once purchased these games will be delivered to buyers by someone called a postman. Inside the parcel will be a disc. This can then be inserted into a PC and from that point digitised onto the HDD.

Of course, as the publisher of plenty of Valve titles (such as Portal 2, The Orange Box, Left 4 Dead), EA’s decision really isn’t all that surprising.
