Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes dated for Steam

The PC port of Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be released before the end of the year.

Specifically, the game will arrive on Steam on December 18th.

The PC SKU will offer 4K graphics as well as an increase in simultaneous light sources, the number of models on-screen and a boost to shadow resolution.

Ground Zeroes was released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year and is designed to be a pre-cursor to the full Metal Gear Solid V, which is due out next year.

The news follows confirmation that MGS V will appear on PCs as well as consoles – it’s the first time a main numbered entry in the series has been released on the platform since Metal Gear Solid 2.

Spin-off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance appeared on PC earlier this year.
