PopCap welcomes new director

Casual games specialist PopCap has announced that Rick Fox has become the seventh member of its board of directors.

We’re very happy to have Rick join our board of directors, where his decades of entrepreneurial and technology industry leadership will help us take PopCap to the next level,” PopCap CEO David Roberts stated.

From operations to product development, finance, marketing and sales, Rick has been involved in virtually every aspect of many successful firms throughout the technology, manufacturing and other business sectors. His forty years of experience growing successful global companies will be invaluable as we grow into one of the top five publishers in the video game industry.”

Fox, who also sits on the board of other tech firms such as Orbitz Worldwide, has previously worked for Wall Data and Cybersafe.

Fox himself added: No other video game company has enjoyed such a combination of critical and commercial success in the past ten years, not to mention growing from three to more than 300 employees worldwide while maintaining profitability the entire time. I’m looking forward to helping PopCap continue and expand upon this unparalleled track record.”
