Plants vs Zombies shuffling to PS3

One of PopCap’s biggest hits, colourful tower defence title Plants vs Zombies, is coming to PS3.

The conversion is being handled by Sony Online Entertainment, the studio which also bought fellow PopCap title Bejeweled and Peggle to PS3.

PvZ is one of six new titles SOE is bringing to PS3, with the others being Acceleration of Suguri X Edition, Slam Bolt Scrappers, Akimi Village, Sideway and Rochard.

"We continually seek creative opportunities to generate new and entertaining ways to enhance a player’s gaming experience," SOE exec Chris Sturr stated. "Our latest line-up proves this with all-new games that are fun and engaging."

Plants vs Zombies has previously enjoyed success on PC, iPhone, Xbox 360 and DS.
