PlayStation Home is getting Trophies

PS3’s virtual world app PlayStation Home is to shortly be updated with Trophy support.

The often-forgotten social network will on Wednesday (March 12th) be patched to version v1.86, according to PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen, allowing users to earn Trophies for an unspecified array of activities.

The Trophies will be retroactive, too, meaning that those who have used Home for any period of time will likely find they’ll automatically earn a few for simply loading the app up.

Sony continues to support Home, although has yet to suggest that it will be rolled out onto PS4, despite the fact that it has for a long time been a profitable business for the platform holder, thanks in no small part to its massive virtual fashion business.

Current commercial partners for the service include JK Rowling’s Pottermore, Ford, Red Bull and Audi.
