PS Plus games to arrive simultaneously for North America and Europe

Sony has announced its PlayStation Plus program’s free games will now become available on the same day in both North America and Europe.

Starting this month, all PlayStation Plus users in North America and Europe will be able to pick up their monthly gift on the first Tuesday of the month.

As of this month, Plus games go live in both EU and US on the first Tuesday of the month (no longer Wednesday in EU),” Sony’s Fred Dutton commented on thePlayStation Europe blog. The first Tuesday in July is 7th July, hence why the games aren’t launching this week.”

The change doesn’t affect North American subscribers, but those in Europe no longer have to wait an extra day for the free game offers.
