PS Vita TV sold out on Amazon Japan

The early indications for Sony’s PS Vita TV are very promising.

As spotted by DualShockers, both the standard and value bundles are currently listed as out of stock on Amazon Japan despite only being listed just earlier this week.

The standard pack includes just the microconsole and cables while the value bundle adds a DualShock 3 controller and an 8GB memory card.

Of course, without knowing what kind of allocation Amazon received for each SKU their selling out isn’t necessarily a firm indication of anything, but there has certainly been lots of positive noise about the microconsole in the press.

Sony has yet to confirm a Western release for either the PS Vita TV or the redesigned PlayStation Vita Slim. But such is the level of enthusiasm for the former that it seems incredulous to believe that a launch outside of Japan is not being planned.
