Assassin’s Creed IV ‘Freedom Cry’ DLC lands this month

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will receive its first major DLC add-on, ‘Freedom Cry,’ later this month.

An ad from Game Informer’s January issue (via Video Gamer) reveals the content will arrive on December 17th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

The ad fails to mention anything regarding the PC version, so it’s likely the content will follow suit with the general release and arrive at some later point on the platform.

Freedom Cry follows quartermaster and former slave Adewale, as he takes command of his own ship and sets out to free anyone he comes across still enslaved.

Ubisoft previously revealed the DLC as Assassin’s Creed IV’s initial season pass offering, which can be purchased for $20. No word yet on what the content will cost on its own.
