BBC exterminates Dr. Who rumour

Since the announcement of Top Trumps: Dr. Who, the gaming world has been hankering after a full next-gen release featuring everybody’s favourite time-travelling Scot.

Yet alas it’s not to be, as BBC puts pay to rumours that someone, somewhere has the full Doctor Who licence.

That leaves Eidos’ Top Trumps game version of the series – out on May 16th – as the only Doctor Who game arriving any time soon.

Anna Kingsley of BBC Worldwide told MCV:

With regards to the Doctor Who video game licence – we can confirm that Eidos will be releasing Top Trumps: Doctor Who on May 16th. No further games are in development at this point.”
