Capcom and Valve team up for Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead crossover

Valve and Capcom will look to create some zombie synergy with the announcement of a content crossover between Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 6.

The promotion will merge the two worlds together, adding the four survivors from Left 4 Dead 2 to Resident Evil 6’s Mercenaries No Mercy mode – the content specifically is exclusive to the PC version of Capcom’s title.

RE6 will also receive variations of Left 4 Dead’s Witch and Tank special infected types as enemies in the game. The content will be available as a free download on April 5th.

As mentioned, the Resident Evil universe is also invading Left 4 Dead’s turf. L4D2 will take on three of Resident Evil’s enemies added via Steam Workshop. The companies say the content is should arrive later this spring.

Resident Evil 6 launches on PC, through Steam of course, on March 22nd.
