Dead Island 2 beta to debut as PS4 timed-exclusive

Dead Island 2’s beta will launch as timed-exclusive for PlayStation 4 owners when it launches next year.

A FAQ posted on the beta’s official site confirms a 30-day exclusivity period for the beta on PS4, prior to its arrival on Xbox One and Windows PC platforms.

Purchasing Escape Dead Island is currently the only way fans can guarantee entry to the Dead Island 2 beta, though there may eventually be other options offered to gain access.

The beta hasn’t been dated as of yet, with both it and the final version of the game still carrying a release window of 2015.
