Free-to-play Peggle Blast launches on iOS, Android

EA has released Peggle Blast – a free-to-play take of PopCap’s Peggle franchise – on iOS and Android.

The gameplay largely mirrors Peggle’s standard mechanic of launching pinballs at pegs across a variety of levels.

The game utilizes an energy system” for the microtransaction portion. When the player fails to complete a particular level, they’ll lose energy.

If enough energy is lost, the game will require you to either play an easier level in order to gain more energy or purchase more energy using real money.

Peggle Blast is available to download now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Here’s a look at the launch trailer:
