Angry Birds studio picks up two honours, including the Grand Prix

DEVELOP AWARDS VIDEO: ‘Winning this is massive’ – Rovio

A delighted Rovio picked up the big studio prize at this year’s Develop Industry Excellence Awards.

Ville Heijari, the VP franchise development at Rovio, said receiving the Grand Prix was “massive” for the studio.

“More than anything I would like to see this award as a testament to where the focus is right now,” he said in the video below.

Rovio also won the award for Best Handheld Studio. The Grand Prix is one of the two Special Industry Recognition Awards handed over on the night.
