Donald Trump game ‘Trump on the Run’ debuts at No.7 in UK iPhone charts

Josiah Jenkins’ endless runner Trump on the Run has shot straight to No.7 in the UK free iPhone charts.

In this new mobile title, released on Android and iOS platforms, players are asked to help US presidential candidate Donald Trump to escape from Mexico while eating as many tacos as possible.

This unexpected title debuted at No.7 in this week’s free iPhone games charts, outperforming some of the usual competitors such as Cheetah’s Piano Tiles 2.

Players who are skilled enough to collect 10,000 tacos will have the pleasure to unlock the game’s ultimate character: Donald Trump on a hoverboard.

But of course, some obstacles are in Trump’s way: sombreros and walls will have to be avoided in order to reach the promise land.

Donald Trump was also recently in the middle of a controversy involving EA, as one of his campaign video was modelled around Mass Effect 2’s trailer.

Elsewhere, the hugely popular Slither.io is still the best-selling title in both the iPhone and iPad free charts. Meanwhile, Angry Birds 2 shoots up the charts – reaching third in the iPad ranks and second in the iPhone Top 20 ahead of a film based on the mobile hit.

Supercell’s Clash of Clans and Clash Royale continue to dominate both the iPad charts. In the iPhone ranks, King’s Candy Crush Saga takes the top spot ahead of Supercell’s mobile titles.
