EA: The Sims 3 delayed until June

US publisher EA has announced as part of its Q3 financial results that it is to delay the release of its upcoming The Sims 3 from February 20th to June 3rd.

EA boss John Riccitiello said of the decision: We’re moving this title to June 3rd to give us additional time to build the worldwide marketing campaign a title like this deserves.”

The delay follows that also imposed on gangster romp Godfather 2.
