Euro PS3 bundles not heading to UK

Contrary to

yesterday’s report

that both Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Blu-Ray movie PS3 hardware bundles were heading to the UK in September and October respectively, SCEE has now reportedly stated that neither will be launched outside of mainland Europe.

Blog PS3 Attitude claims to have official word from Sony on the matter, with a spokesperson stating: The UK does not generally offer hard bundles. These particular bundles are not Europe-wide and will not be offered to the UK market.”

MCV still wouldn’t bet against some UK-based bundling activity occuring before Christmas – with LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2 and maybe even PES 2009 the most likely candidates. Don’t rule out some sort of UK-centric Blu-Ray movie bundle, either.
