Galaxy team working on new handheld platformer

GDC11: 3DS Super Mario announced

Nintendo has announced it is working on a new Super Mario game for 3DS.

The game is being worked on by the team behind Super Mario Galaxy on Wii and is temporarily titled ‘Super Mario.’

The game was announced during Nintendo President Satoru Iwata’s GDC Keynote in San Francisco.

A temporary logo was shown that features a tail, but Iwata said gamers would have to wait until E3 to find out more.

The Nintendo 3DS launches in the UK on March 25th.
