Best-selling Zelda adventure coming to shelves this summer

GDC11: 3DS Zelda title dated

Satoru Iwata has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be released for 3DS in June.

The Nintendo president revealed the date during his keynote at GDC 2011 in San Francisco. This confirms that while the game will not be available on day one, it still falls within the 3DS launch window, which stretches until the end of June.

The release date is believed to be for the US, but it could well arrive in Europe and Japan around the same time.

Iwata also showed a new trailer for upcoming Wii adventure The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – although no release date was given.
