Just Dance sequel announced

The immensely popular Just Dance game on Wii is to get a sequel, Ubisoft has announced.

The publisher uploaded an audition page on its Facebook group giving players the chance to star in the sequel. Members of dance act Diversity will judge entrants with the winner to appear in the game.

Ubisoft has yet to make an official announcement on Just Dance 2, but is releasing another dance title – Dance on Broadway – which will hit retail for Wii on June 25th.

The original Just Dance went on sale in November 2009 and went on to topple Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from the top spot of the ELSPA GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top 40. It has claimed the title of UK no.1 four times in total and has sold over 1m copies in the UK.

Ubisoft also won two awards at the 2010 MCV Industry Excellence Awards – New Games Brand and Sales Triumph.
