LocoRoco PS3 dated in Japan

Critically hailed as one of the most original, charming and enjoyable titles on Sony’s PSP, LocoRoco has become a firm favourite in the gaming community – and SCEJ has now confirmed that the download-only sequel Oiedeyo LocoRoco will arrive on the Japanese PlayStation Network on September 21st.

The Famitsu article, which was translated by IGN, didn’t confirm the price, however, and SCEE has yet to offer any confirmation regarding the European release – or whether the game will be available both on Blu-Ray and to download, as is the case with both Warhawk (which arrives on PSN today) and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

The game, the full title of which reads Oiedeyo LocoRoco! Boo Boo Cocoreccho!, sees gamers control a butterfly who must sing to the blobular LocoRoco’s in order to make them follow. Proceedings will be motion controlled via the Sixaxis.
