MS phasing out 360 memory cards

Microsoft is to phase out both the 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive and its range of branded memory cards, the platform holder has revealed.

Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb confirmed the news to Joystiq, saying that the channel is being drained” of both SKUs.

The decision follows the confirmation that Microsoft is to both release a standalone 250GB HDD SKU and release an Xbox 360 firmware update that will allow owners to use up to 32GB of additional memory from USB mass storage devices.

The 250GB HDD will go on sale on April 16th priced at a surprisingly low 79.99.
