New studio 11 bit announces formation

11 bit studios, a Warsaw-based studio comprised of former staff from Metropolis Software and CD Projekt Group, announced its formation yesterday.

Boasting talent with experience for publishers like Ubisoft, Atari, Interplay and Monolith, 11 bit has stated its intention to develop titles for iOS platforms and PC, and will unveil its debut title next week.

“The games industry is constantly changing, and there is a tremendous opportunity for independent developers to succeed and to push the boundaries of gameplay on digital platforms,” said 11 bit MD Grzegorz Miechowski.

“We’re going to create games that introduce unique gameplay mechanics, carry high production values and are, most importantly, fun for both hardcore gamers and more casual players.”
