Now Canadian Sony site is hacked

Having just confessed to a fresh data theft from the Sony Greece BMG website, the PlayStation platform has now revealed a further breach of its online security.

The BBC reports that the details of 2,000 consumers registered on the Canadian Sony Ericsson portal have been stolen. Email addresses, passwords and phone numbers have been compromised.

No credit card information has been affected.

Sony has said that, as with its Greek website, the portal was hosted by a third party and not connected to the wider Sony network.
