PS4 will support PS3 headsets

Those who own a PS3 compatible headset will be able to use it on the PS4.

That’s according to a Sony rep at the San Diego Comic-Con, Polygon reports. PS4 of course ships with a headset, albeit a single earbud wired mono model.

The news follows the kerfuffle earlier this month when it appeared that Microsoft had reversed its decision not to include a headset with the Xbox One – a claim that was later dismissed.

Microsoft has also chosen not to make Xbox 360 headsets compatible with Xbox One which will instead use a new proprietary port.
