PSN Welcome Back programme explained

Sony has listed the titles that it will be offering for free once the PlayStation Store is back online.

PS3 owners will be able to choose two titles to download for free from the following selection: LittleBigPlanet, inFamous, Wipout HD/Fury, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty and Dead Nation.

PSP owners can select two of: LittleBigPlanet, ModNation, Pursuit Force, Killzone Liberation.

In Germany inFamous and Dead Nation will be replaced by Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings and Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation will be replaced by Everybody’s Golf 2 and Buzz Junior Jungle Party.

In addition, all users will get 30 days free access to PlayStation Plus. Existing PSN+ members will get 60 days free subscription.

Additional Welcome Back goodies for PlayStation Home will be announced at a later date. As for the restoration of the PlayStation Store itself, Sony’s statement says it will be "a little while longer".

The offer will be open to anyone who was a PSN account holder on April 20th 2011.

In the US, Ratchet & Clank is replaced by Super Stardust in the PS3 offer. AMerican gamers will also get a selection of free movie rentals over one weekend. US PlayStation Home users will get 100 free virtual items and other free content.
