SimCity offline mode mentioned in EA customer survey

EA appears to be considering a reversal in its stance on the infamous always-on policy for SimCity, according to a customer survey.

GameSpot reports on the publisher’s request for player feedback on the game, which mentions a ‘Classic Mode’ described as such:

"In offline or online mode, play a single, fully functioning city using cheats and unlocks that allow you to create your perfect city."

The surfacing of the survey follows EA’s insistence that the game simply wouldn’t work without a constant internet connection accessing the game’s data.

For those off the internet for the better part of March, SimCity released and things did not go smoothly. EA has since claimed the title has recovered from what it describes as a challenging launch.
