Localisation company continues global expansion with new outpost for the Asian markets

Synthesis opens new Pacific office

Localistaion specialist synthesis is to open a new office in Singapore named Synthesis Pacific.

Established to serve the growing Eastern and Southest Asian market, the new facility will further Synthesis’ work with both audio and general localisation, and has been established as a joint venture with Nanica, itself a localisation service provider.

"Moving our regional HQ from Japan to Singapore is proof of our commitment to Eastern Asia and Southeast Asia," said Harry Inaba, managing director of Synthesis Pacific (pictured). "Singapore will act as a centre for us to recruit people from different language and cultural backgrounds in an English speaking environment, and will be our hub to develop resources and partners in the Southeast Asian markets, which is anticipated to become a $1 billion market by 2015.”

Synthesis’s Japanese office continues to function, now serving its home nation’s market exclusively. The former Asian HQ for the company previously worked localising a number of high profile game, including star Wars Kinect, Fable 2 and 3 and Mass Effect

“From a global standpoint, the Asian region has been growing quickly with many of our clients wanting their video games localised for these markets said Max Reynaud, owner and founder of Synthesis. "Equally, we want to develop Synthesis Pacific as a localisation gateway to the West for Asian publishers.

"Synthesis Pacific is now in the perfect cultural and geographical location and has the right mix of talent to deliver our global solutions for clients now and in the future.”
