THQ announces lie detector title

Truth or Lies – an upcoming casual multiplayer game that uses a microphone to allegedly tell if players are lying – has been announced by THQ.

The game allows up to eight users to take part in a roundtable-style experience, each answering a range of questions in turn. It uses a voice calibration system that works with a USB microphone to measure stress levels before revealing the honesty of players’ answers.

On top of Truth or Lies’ 3,000 questions, gamers can also record their own and put friends on the spot in the game’s ‘Hot Seat’ mode.

In a press release THQ said: Friends and family will be squirming in their seats as they answer some of the game’s silliest and most provocative questions in the new Truth or Lies video game.

The gameplay will lead to revealing and hilarious situations among friends and family.”

Truth or Lies will be released for Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 this autumn.
