VIDEO: Battlefield 3 trailer impresses

A brand new trailer has been released for EA’s upcoming Battlefield 3 and gamers are already asking if DICE’s war sim will be the most realistic shooter ever released.

The video of the PC version of the game, which can be seen below, is certainly a step above anything seen to date. It’ll be fascinating to see how the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game hold up in comparison.

Speaking to GameInformer, DICE’s Tobias Dahl has confessed that the game uses elements of the tech found in FIFA 11 and Madden 11 to add an element of realism to the character animations.

"I started to look inside EA and see what we had there," he stated. "Naturally, I started looking into the sport games because what they have is animation. That’s what drives their games. It looks pretty good, I’d say."
