Week one sales of Uncharted 4 reach 2.7m worldwide

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End looks on track to be a fitting commercial send off for the series.

Sony has said that combined physical Blu-ray and digital sell-through of the game worldwide since its launch last week has hit 2.7m units. The game is the fastest selling first party PS4 to date in both the PAL and North American regions.

Uncharted 4 claimed its second successive No.1 in the UK this week, and has to date very much bucked the trend of low physical console sales with an extremely strong UK performance.

Uncharted 4 [is] one of the most beautifully crafted games I’ve ever played, and the great reception we’ve seen from the community has been amazing and humbling,” SCE’s Asad Qizilbash said.

Naughty Dog’s exceptionally talented team has created magic once again, carefully constructing an adrenaline-pumping, thrilling, and beautifully written culmination to Nathan Drake’s adventures. They truly outdid themselves. A huge congratulations goes out to Naughty Dog for an incredible feat.

"The success of the game is a testament to the calibre of the team at Naughty Dog and their unwavering commitment to their fans.”
