Pure Football gets low price

Five-a-side footie game Pure Football has been given a lower RRP than usual – with a 29.99 price set by Ubisoft.

The title, which went on sale last Friday, is one third cheaper than most PS3 and Xbox 360 games which usually have an RRP of 44.99 or 49.99.

It’s the latest new release to be badged at a price somewhere between the standard and the traditional budget range of 19.99 to 24.99. Earlier this year Namco Bandai’s Clash of Titans also received a 29.99 RRP.

The news comes following comments from Namco Bandai VP Olivier Comte and Doctor Who developer Charles Cecil who have both told MCV that games are too expensive.
