Ratchet & Clank film adds Stallone, Goodman and more to voice acting talent

The upcoming movie adaptation of PlayStation franchise Ratchet & Clank has added a handful of notable actors to its cast.

Hollywood Reporter has word that Sylvester Stallone, Rosario Dawson, John Goodman, Bella Throne and Paul Giamatti have all signed on to voice characters in the film – joining Ratchet & Clank game voice actors James A. Taylor, David Kaye and Jim Ward.

"The collaborative relationship between Rainmaker Entertainment, PlayStation, Insomniac Games and all of our partners has helped us to bring this massive game franchise to the big screen," Rainmaker president and chief creative officer Michael Hefferon said.

"Our outstanding celebrity talent together with the original voices from the game really bring these characters to life, and we are confident that Ratchet & Clank will delight fans with its authenticity and charm, while families everywhere will find a new family-friendly buddy duo to love."

The movie was previously set to premiere this year, but has now been pushed to April 2016. In related news, a new post on PlayStation Blog confirms Insomniac’s re-imagination” of the game for PlayStation 4 has been delayed to Spring 2016. While there’s no official confirmation, it appears the film and game will release alongside one another.
