RedOctane founders form ‘interactive fitness company’ Blue Goji

RedOctane founders and Guitar Hero veterans Charles and Kai Huang have launched a new firm to focus on peripheral-based exercise games for mobile devices.

The new ‘interactive fitness’ company – dubbed Blue Goji – hopes to make cardiovascular exercise a social experience, with games on smartphones and tablets that connect to exercise machines and track individual work-out goals.

Companion games for treadmills, elliptical machines and stationary bikes were specifically mentioned as in the works – with the team currently accepting developer applications.

Charles Huang is also currently serving as CEO and co-founder of Green Throttle – a peripheral company established last year that aims to bring smartphone titles to televisions.
