REPORT: UK 2009 charts

The record-breaking performance of Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the market-commanding popularity of Nintendo’s hardware stole most of the headlines last year, but neither sold as many units or commanded as much market share as the UK’s big 2009 winner – EA.

EA came top in both units sold and software sales value throughout the last 12 months.

Elsewhere in the charts, Wii bossed the market in raw unit sales terms but when it came to software value, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 emerged as the champ.
