Respawn confirms multiplatform Titanfall sequel in development

A sequel to EA’s shooter Titanfall is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One – Respawn CEO Vince Zampella has confirmed.

Speaking with IGN, Zampella explained that EA CFO Blake Jorgensen’s talk last month more or less let the cat out of the bag on the yet to be named title.

"I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don’t know anything about it, or… yeah. So we’re working on a sequel," Zampella said.

Not much else was mentioned about the sequel itself, though Zampella teased that Respawn is planning a different approach to how the game’s DLC map packs are sold.

"I think having the maps like that in packs, it does split the community and it makes it harder for matchmaking, it’s messy," said Zampella.

The original Titanfall released last year exclusively on Microsoft’s platform stable of Windows PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
