Retail dates SWTOR for September

Online UK retailer ShopTo has given upcoming EA MMO title Star Wars: The Old Republic a September 9th release date in the UK according to a recent update.

Back in january MCV learnt that EA executives were at the time anticipating a September release for the long-awaited game – much to the irritation of BioWare fans who let MCV know of their displeasure in the comments section.

However, in recent months that release date has begun to look less certain.

Despite missing its proposed Q2 2011 release date, as predicted by MCV, the game was recently removed from EA’s release schedule prompting fears that it may miss 2011 entirely.

The official line from EA, however, is that the game will arrive some time in calendar 2011.
