All remaining Blockbuster stores to close next week

The last of Blockbuster’s UK stores will close next week, MCV can reveal.

MCV reported last month that Blockbuster was due for total closure by December 20th and last week administrator Moorfields Corporate Recovery admitted that it had still not received any acceptable offers” and as a result we may be forced to close the remaining stores”.

MCV understands that Blockbuster’s remaining stores – thought to currently number around 91 – will close for good first thing next week.

Furthermore, all staff working at the remainder of Blockbuster’s UK offices will be out of work by the end of next week.
