Amazon introduces £10 minimum spend for free delivery

Online retailer Amazon has redefined the conditions under which it now offers Free Super Saver Delivery.

Effective today the site will impose a minimum spend of 10 to qualify for free postage across a number of categories.

There are some exemptions however, most notable of which are video games. Also exempt are DVDs, Blu-rays, books and software. These exemptions will still apply even if customers make a mixed order of exempt and non-exempt products.

Whilst the change will affect only a very small proportion of orders, it will allow us to offer you a significantly expanded selection of lower priced products,” a statement said.

We continue to work hard every day to improve the delivery services that we offer. Another recent introduction is Amazon Lockers and collection points. These self-service delivery locations allow you to pick up Amazon deliveries at a time and location that is most convenient to you.”
