Carphone Warehouse rebranding 60 of its stores as Samsung-only

Samsung smartphones are to receive their own dedicated retail presence on the UK High Street.

Carphone Warehouse has announced plans to rebrand 60 of its 2,000 stores as dedicated Samsung outlets. These will roll out in the next three months across seven countries including the UK, which is expected to host between ten and 15 of them.

The shops will sport a minimalist white and blue design reminiscent of Apple’s pioneering retail design and will even offer ‘Genius’ style in-house tech experts to help customers.

Apple currently operates 98 stores across Europe, 37 of which are in the UK.

Samsung last year set up three dedicated stores in Spain which were run by the Carphone Warehouse. The Korean form says Carphone Warehouse will be tasked with running 60 per cent of stores.
