Diablo III stocked at some GAME Australia stores only

GAME’s administration has cast a blemish on what should’ve been one of the most exciting days of the year for Aussie PC gamers.

It was revealed early today (after rumours emerged yesterday), that customers who pre-ordered the highly anticipated dungeon crawler were receiving emails saying they wouldn’t be able to receive their stock.

PriceWaterhouseCoopers, the company responsible for overseeing GAME’s Australian administration, issued a statement today which confirmed that the levels of stock GAME was shipping to stores was only what the company had ordered prior to going into administration, leaving some smaller GAME stores high and dry.

To those unlucky customers, Blizzard has offered its assistance by allowing them to claim back the cost of a digital download upon presentation of a valid pre-order receipt dated before 15th May.
