FIFA 13 priced Rs 2,999 on Xbox 360, lower than PS3 version

Redington, distributor for EA’s Xbox 360 games in India, has just sent word to retailers that FIFA 13 will be priced at Rs 2,999. That’s Rs 500 less than the PS3 version.

A few days ago, EA’s Playstation and PC distributor Milestone Interactive revealed hiked prices for FIFA 13 – Rs 3,499 on PS3 and Rs 1,799 on PC.

Currency exchange rates and high duties were thought to be the reason behind the price increase, but the fact that the Xbox 360 version is priced Rs 500 less than the PS3 version does put that theory in doubt.

EA is yet to officially comment on the reasons behind these price increases, and especially the difference in increase between the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Meanwhile, fans have taken to EA’s India Facebook page to voice their discontent over the hike in prices.
