Guardian of Light to cost $15

The upcoming Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will cost just $15 when it is released this summer, according to Joystiq.

Developer Crystal Dynamics has also confirmed to the site that the isometric co-op adventure will be released on Xbox Live, PSN and PC. The UK cost is likely to translate to around 1200 Microsoft Points, or 10-12.

The game raised eyebrows upon its announcement last week not only for dropping the ‘Tomb Raider’ from its title, but also skipping a retail release in favour of digital distribution.

However, the fact that Lara is shunning her famous 3D-world roots might make the bit that bit less bitter for retail to swallow.
