Guild Wars 2 post-launch plans not final

NCsoft and ArenaNet have clarified plans for Guild Wars 2 expansions.

Earlier today, news emerged that the developer was not planning to release any follow-ups to the upcoming MMO through retail.

However, any plans for post-launch content are "still to be confirmed", as ArenaNet is concentrating on completing the launch build of Guild Wars 2.

A statement from NCsoft and ArenaNet said: At present time the ArenaNet team is entirely focused on ensuring that Guild Wars 2 is delivered to the highest possible standards at the earliest opportunity, as such future plans for expansions, campaigns or additional content are still to be confirmed.

"As soon as we have firm information on content beyond launch we’ll share this via the PR team and our forums.”
